Replacing a Document File
Replacing a Document File
Sometimes a user will want to overwrite an existing document in fileplan with a new file. This happens most commonly when users have been working on a downloaded copy of a document that already exists in fileplan and can occur when users do not have access to the fileplan Windows client program.
To Replace a document file, ensure that the check box for the document is ticked (1), select the Actions pane (2) and finally the option Replace File (3).
Users will then be presented with the facility to upload a replacement file for the selected document. Drag and drop a file from your computer to the section in the middle of the page, or click in this section to browse to a location for the file. Once the file appears, click Replace File. The existing document will be overwritten with the new file.
